Sales & Business Development Expert/Manager

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Planning:
    • Develop business plans and sales strategies tailored to Balkantel’s target sectors
    • Set measurable objectives and targets for sales performance
  • Market Analysis:
    • Conduct thorough market research to identify emerging trends, competitive landscapes, and potential growth areas within Balkantel’s target sectors
    • Analyze customer needs and preferences to refine our offerings and enhance value propositions
  • Business Development:
    • Identify and engage potential clients and partners through networking, referrals and outreach efforts
    • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including government agencies, contractors and technology partners
  • Sales Execution:
    • Lead the sales process from prospecting to closing, ensuring effective communication and follow-up
    • Prepare and deliver compelling presentations and proposals that highlight our products and solutions
    • Prepare and present offers to clients, and when needed, lead a team for the preparation of offers
  • Negotiation and Contract Monitoring:
    • Negotiate terms and conditions of contracts to maximize profitability
    • Oversee contract execution in light of ensuring and promoting future business
  • Performance Tracking:
    • Monitor sales performance metrics, prepare reports and present findings to senior management
    • Adjust sales strategies based on performance data and feedback
  • Industry Engagement:
    • Represent the company at industry conferences, trade exhibitions, and networking events to promote our products and services and build relationships
    • Stay abreast of industry developments, technological advancements, and regulatory changes to inform business strategies

Requirements/Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Telecommunications, Computer Sciences or related fields
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in sales and business development, with a proven track record in the similar or related fields
  • Understanding of industry dynamics, including current challenges and opportunities
  • Experience in international sales of technology products and services is considered an advantage
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to leverage data to inform decision-making
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proficient in negotiation techniques
  • Self-motivated and results-oriented, with a demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Proficiency in MS Office
  • Fluency in English
  • Willingness to travel frequently for meetings, industry events and project engagements
