Responsibilities:

• Provide strategic leadership and vision for the R&D department, aligning objectives with company goals
• Lead and manage the R&D team, providing mentorship, guidance and support to maximize team performance and productivity
• Collaborate cross-functionally with other departments to ensure alignment and integration of R&D efforts
• Provide R&D technical leadership and guidance for project management framework and R&D development processes
• Oversee the entire product development lifecycle, from conceptualization and design to prototyping, testing and commercialization
• Manage R&D budgets, resources and timelines effectively, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget constraints
• Drive research initiatives to identify emerging technologies, trends and opportunities for product innovation
• Establish and maintain partnerships with internal/external stakeholders and industry experts to leverage expertise and resources for R&D projects

Qualifications:

• University degree in engineering, computer science or related field
• 5+ years of experience in a leadership role
• Experienced in R&D project management
• Excellence in building, motivating, and developing high-performing teams
• Strong understanding of product development processes and methodologies
• Knowledge of industry testing standards is considered an advantage
• Excellent project management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks, manage resources and drive results in a fast-paced environment
• Strategic thinker with a results-oriented mindset and a passion for driving innovation and continuous improvement
• Excellent communication, interpersonal and problem-solving skills
• Fluent in English
