The publication of EN 55015, based on CISPR 15 A1 Ed.7, has introduced an independent method of measurement of radio disturbance characteristics of electrical lighting equipment. This method specifies the use of a coupling/decoupling network (CDN) as defi ned in IEC 61000-4-6 for emission measurement in the frequency range 30 MHz to 300 MHz.

IEC/EN 61000-4-6 specifi es the design and performance of a range of coupling/decoupling networks (CDNs). Further the CISPR 15 edition 7 Amd.1 (EN 55015) offers with Annex B an independent method of measurement of radiated disturbances with CDNs. In addition to IEC/EN 61000-4-6 the impedance shall be 150 Ω with a tolerance of +60 Ω/−0 Ω over the frequency range 80 MHz to 300 MHz.

The Calibration Kit CAS CDNE is made for function tests and verification measurements on coupling decoupling network for emissions measurements (CDNE). Measuring parameters are common-mode (CM) impedance, (CM) phase angle, voltage division factor, decoupling attenuation and differential-mode (DM) impedance. CDNEs and measurements on CDNEs are defined in future CISPR 16-1-2.
